Island wine is always a little different from the wine made on the mainland. It's special -- whether it's the terroir, the often obscure, indigenous grapes or the style of winemaking, we find these wines to be unlike any other. Sandrine Leccia makes these very unique and very delicious wines in Corsica with her husband Yves.

Blend: 80% Grenache 20% Niellucciu
Vineyard: 20 to 40 years, 7.1 ha
Soil: Clay, Limestone, Schist
Aging: All red grapes are de-stemmed, then placed in stainless steel cuves for 12 to 15 days with daily pump-overs, then aged for 12 months
Farming: Organic (certified)
O Bà means “Dad” in Corsican. This cuvée is an hommage to Yves’ father Pierre-Joseph Leccia, who taught him everything he knows and transmitted to him the knowledge of previous generations as well. The silhouette on the label is of Pierre-Joseph.
