Juliette Alips founded Domaine Les Monts Fournois under the mentorship of her close cousins, Raphaël and Vincent Bérêche. For those of you, like us, that are huge Bereche fans this wine will be in your sweet spot. This is a terrior driven wine that really highlights Vertus, it is one of the best 2010s that I have had. It's a special bottle!

Left Champagne

With 28ha in Chouilly, Champagne Saint-Chamant was founded in 1930, and since taking over for his parents in 1950, Christian Coquillette has done everything by hand—pruning, trellising, riddling, and even bottling. Only recently has this octogenarian sought assistance from his son, Stéphane, in managing their family house.

"The 2010 Côte Premier Cru is 100% Chardonnay from Vertus. Bright, aromatic and also surprisingly youthful, the 2010 is immediately appealing, immediately alluring. It's a terrific example of this vintage at its finest. Tangerine peel, pastry, white pepper and flowers all race across the palate. A Champagne of uncommon depth and nuance, the 2010 Côte is irresistible. Its also one of the very best wines I have tasted in this series of micro-négociant wines from the Bérêche family. What a delight. Dosage is 3.4 grams per liter." -Vinous
