Both are 100% old vine Grenache planted in very sandy soils; Le Grand Pin and La Guigasse. Le Grand Pin adjoins Château Rayas at the top of the lieu-dit Pignan — the vines are 50 to 100 years old, planted in pure white sand. The vines in La Guigasse are also in Pignan, 75 to 90 years old, planted in yellow sand with a little clay.
