Domaine Dame Jeanne

Some people have all the luck. Take Jeanne Piollot, for instance. She grew up in the southernmost reaches of the Aube, where her parents operate not one, but two exquisite domaines — her father is the Père of Piollot Père et Fille, and her mother, Dominique, is the talent behind Champagne Marie Courtin.

And so, like a good daughter, Jeanne was inspired to follow in her parents' illustrious footsteps and establish herself as a vigneron. A parcel was found in a village called Molesme, a mere 20 kilometers away from her ancestral home, but technically Burgundy. And so Jeanne pivoted, albeit with material very familiar to any Champenois: Chardonnay and Pinot Noir.
