Since 1910 this 30 acre property in the northeast corner of the Russian River Valley appellation has been dry farming top quality Zinfandel as well as a smattering of other varietals. Many of the original vine remain along with some “whipper snappers” planted in 1970. During its long history, the estate has sold off most off its fruit and is responsible for legendary bottling from Ravenswood, Gary Farrell and others. \u003c\/p\u003e\n\n\u003cp\u003eWith the purchase of the property in 2009, the Bilbros endeavored to produce wines that reflect the uniquely superlative nature of this vineyard. But even with the confidence and resources that come from being a part of one of California premier wine growing families, I'm not sure that Jake foresaw just how magical Limerick Lane would become.
