Over two thousand years ago, Cicero publicly criticized Julius Caesar’s Uncle Piso for drinking too much Piacentini wine (it happens). A thousand or so years later, we have reports of a miracle vintage in these hills – the 1185 – both abundant and very high in quality. \u003c\/p\u003e\n\n\u003cp\u003eFast forward another thousand years, and they're still at it, the azienda of Montesissa Emilio is making some delicious wine. But now, thanks to modern transportation networks (and refrigeration), the wine is able to travel far beyond Rome and into cities like Copenhagen, Tokyo and New York.
