Anne Gros is one of the most sought-after producers in Burgundy, one of that charmed circle of growers whom collectors chase in vintages good and bad. We never ever have enough.

In 2008 she teamed up with her husband, Jean-Paul Tollot, from the family behind the celebrated wines of Tollot-Beaut, to found a winery in Minervois, right on the border with Saint Chinian.

The rock-strewn vineyards are at 220 meters above sea level (identical to Vosne-Romanée, they point out) and very cool at night. There is a rich mix of soils—clay, limestone, and sandstone. It was those complex soils, and some very old vines, that first attracted them to the terroir.
