Amorotti only began bottling under its own label in 2016, and output is still tiny, roughly 1,800 cases across the whole range. Farming is organic and worked along biodynamic and natural lines, and the Montepulciano ferments spontaneously, with no temperature control, in a labyrinthine cellar beneath the medieval hill town of Loreto Aprutino. It then spends about two years in large untoasted Slavonian oak casks, which build structure without laying down any toast or vanilla. This is the answer to anyone who thinks Montepulciano d'Abruzzo is a cheap weeknight red: give the 2021 a long decant now, or leave it in the cellar a few more years.\u003c\/p\u003e","brand":"Palermo Wine Imports [PWI]","offers":[{"title":"Default Title","offer_id":43632748134435,"sku":"SF-1-PWI--080626-40","price":53.99,"currency_code":"USD","in_stock":true}],"thumbnail_url":"\/\/cdn.shopify.com\/s\/files\/1\/0044\/1208\/0163\/files\/Bottle-of-Amorotti-Montepulciano-dAbruzzo-2021-Red-Wine-Flatiron-SF.jpg?v=1786402224","url":"https:\/\/sf.flatiron-wines.com\/products\/amorotti-montepulciano-d-abruzzo-2021-750ml","provider":"Flatiron SF","version":"1.0","type":"link"}
