Professional Reviews

BH 92
"Discreet wood once again sets off super-fresh cool and quite floral-scented aromas of various red berries underbrush earth and whiff of leather. Here too there is a lovely underlying tension to the bigger and equally mineral-driven flavors that conclude in a youthfully austere focused and beautifully defined finish. This is an excellent Gevrey villages that should reward up to a decade of cellaring. One to consider."

"The 2019 Gevrey-Chambertin "Ma Cuvée" is quite high-toned on the nose with boysenberry and black cherry fruit violet top notes emerging with aeration. The palate is medium-bodied with juicy tannins a mixture of blackberry and blueberry laced with citrus peel hints of orange rind towards the finish. This will be difficult to resist in its youth but it possesses the substance to suggest that it will give 10-12 years of drinking pleasure." -Vinous

"Supple and charming, Mortet's 2019 Gevrey-Chambertin Ma Cuvee wafts from the glass with notes of red berries, plums and exotic spices, framed by a deft application of classy new oak. Medium to full-bodied, ample and enveloping, with melting tannins and succulent acids, it's already drinking well." -Robert Parker
