The ancient Bordeaux estate of Pez dates back to the 1450 and is one of the two oldest estates in Saint-Estephe. The Pontac family, who also created Haut Brion, gave Pez its vineyards. The estate covers 74 continuous acres with 59 acres planted to mainly to Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon. The blend is 56% Cabernet Sauvignon, 41% Merlot and 3% Petit Verdot.
