It is a joint project between two fourth-generation Touraine families — Ludivine Marteau, whose 29 hectares sit on the south bank of the Cher, and Vincent Leclair, who farms 45 hectares at Pouille — working thirty-year-old vines on clay and flint. The vines are hand-harvested and the farming is sustainable, with grass cover between the rows and green harvesting to keep yields honest. At 12% alcohol it stays light on its feet: a red for chilling, not for cellaring.
