Before that, the domaine sometimes bottled this fruit as Cuvée Eden or blended it into Gras Moutons, a two-parcel lieu-dit inside the same cru that Pépière still bottles on its own. The domaine owns 3.35 hectares here, on sandy limestone over gneiss, with vines planted in 1948, 1984 and 1991. Rémi Branger and Gwénaëlle Croix have built on Marc Ollivier's single-vineyard tradition by giving crus like this one their own bottlings, and Pépière was well ahead of the curve: half of its 42 hectares lie within the crus.
