It grows on the same north-facing limestone slopes as the famous rouge, farmed organically since the estate's beginning, but the blend could not be more different: Marsanne leads by a wide margin, with Roussanne, Grenache Blanc, Chardonnay, Clairette and a whisper of Muscat filling in around it. Each variety is fermented and raised separately in barrel and demi-muid for about a year with minimal racking, then blended. After two years of extreme drought, rain finally returned to the Alpilles in February 2024, and the harvest ran variety by variety from late August to late September.
