The vines average 55 years, and the farming is close to organic: no herbicides, soil worked by plough and by hand, and short pruning with severe debudding to keep yields low. Carillons have been documented in Puligny since 1520, and Jacques has run his own 5.5 hectares since the family domaine was divided between him and his brother François, starting with the 2010 vintage. 2024 was one of the hardest growing seasons in recent Burgundian memory, with a wet spring, relentless downy mildew and a very small crop.
