Grands Terroirs is 80% Chardonnay and 20% Pinot Noir, from vines averaging 30 years old in brown topsoil over chalk. About 80% of the fruit comes from Premier Cru plots, mostly in Vertus, and the rest from Grand Cru sites in the Côte des Blancs. Every parcel is made into wine separately, the blend draws on three consecutive vintages, and the bottles age two and a half years in the family's 19th-century cellars before release.
