2023 Spring Wine Education Seminar Series
Dear Friends,
Since the beginning, our goal has been to create a space for adventurous drinkers to come together to learn more about wine through tasting.
This is why we are so excited to kick off this year's wine education calendar with the announcement of six in-person seminars as a part of our 2023 Spring Series.
Through May, we will be hosting bi-monthly regional deep dives starting with two our specialties, Italy and California. The complete schedule is laid out below, so mark your calendars and get excited.
Note: Tickets will be released at the beginning of the month for that month.

The Other Piedmont
We kick off the 2023 seminar series with our favorite Italian region, Piedmont! While Nebbiolo and Moscato d'Asti are often the first to come to mind, there is much more to explore in this region famous for Barolo and Barbaresco. From Pelaverga and Grignolino to Arneis and Timorasso, there's a wide array of wines to discover! There is simply too much to cover in this region so we are breaking Barolo and Barbaresco into a separate class.
Our very own Italian expert Flori Kennedy, who was knighted by the Piedmont government for her contributions to the wine industry, will be your guide through the 20 regions in Italy.

Coastal California
While we feel blessed to live so close to the country's most famous wine region, there is much to explore beyond Napa Valley! California has 840 miles of coastline and last year welcomed two new AVAs, West Sonoma Coast and SLO Coast. We will dive into these regions plus a few more along the westernmost part of our beautiful state.
This seminar will be led by Jenny Shirey, a certified California Wine Appellation Specialist and seasoned instructor.

Santa Barbara County
Explore the diversity of Santa Barbara County, from the coastal-influenced Santa Rita Hills to the warmer Santa Maria Valley and Ballard Canyon. As the largest transverse valley on the western Pacific coast, there are many grapes suited to the different sub-regions beyond Chardonnay and Pinot Noir. In addition to those grapes, we will taste a few Rhone varietals and German whites!
