Looking forward to the week ahead in San Francisco- March 2nd, 2020

Dear Friends of Flatiron,

Man, bad news seems to be everywhere these days but we've got the cure...MORE WINE! Please note, this is not a CDC approved treatment, but in our experience a bottle or two always does the trick in soothing the nerves. Our tastings and newsletter this week have exactly what the doctor ordered.

This Weeks Tastings

Tuesday March 2nd
Meet the Winemaker: Noel Diaz from Purity Wines from 5 to 7pm-
After working in restaurants for almost 20 years, and having passed through almost every position in the front of the house, Noel Diaz found himself gravitating more and more towards wine. In 2013 this gravitational pull brought him into the orbit of his own label, Purity Wines. The world or Purity is one of organic fruit made naturally into unique and approachable wine. Boldly embark on an exploration of the natty universe with Noel of Purity Wines!

Wednesday March 3rd
Burgundy Bonanza with Bouchard and Fevre from 5 to 7pm- When it comes to Burgundy few names are better known than that of Bouchard. Bouchard Pere et Fils, over time, has acquired an impressive number of vineyards and makes wine from basically every notable area in Burgundy. Recently that list has grown to include Chablis with their acquisition of William Fevre. Taste some great wines from both producers and stock up on some reliable Burgundies.

Thursday March 4th
Crowley from Oregon and Bandol wine from La Bastide Blanche with Weygandt-Metzler from 5 to 7pm- Our friend Andrew Miramontes will be bringing two great wineries from his portfolio: Crowley Wines and Domaine la Bastide Blanche. Crowley makes great Burgundian Pinots and Chards that truly sing. Bastide Blanche showcases the balanced beauty of Mourvèdre which walks the line between bright, ripe fruit and herbal notes. Two very different wineries but both share the precision and honesty we hold in the highest regard. See you there!

Featured in our weekly newsletter we're excited to be offering the 2018 Bourgogne Blanc from Paul Pernot, two new exciting wines from Filipa Pato, the 2019 Ode to Lulu Rose from Bedrock and an awesome Saint Joseph from Martine Rouchier.
