Aphros’ 2023 Loureiro is a biodynamic Vinho Verde from the Lima Valley, crafted by Vasco Croft. Hand-harvested, briefly skin-macerated, and fermented with native yeasts in stainless steel, it’s aged two months on lees without bâtonnage.

At 10.5% alcohol, it’s crisp and mineral-driven, with green apple, citrus zest, and a saline edge. A precise, low-alcohol white built for seafood and light fare.

"The 2023 Loureiro is similar to the Ten. Its from the direct pressing of the grapes and fermented in stainless steel with indigenous yeasts at a slightly higher temperature, so it's a little less exuberant but with a subtle note of honey and beeswax intermixed with the white fruit and flowers. It didn't go through malolactic fermentation and has slightly higher maturity, with 10.5% alcohol, and better balance." -Luis Gutiérrez
