From the producer: The steep terraces which are separated only by a wall from the Pellingen vineyard, form with their mica schist soil the optimal condition for the cultivation of Riesling. This combination gives the Riesling the dark cool mineral characteristic, as well as the typical taste of vineyard peach, a lot of substance and a long life. The Riesling Privat comes from this location.

Nigl is a beautiful Kremstal estate at the end of a cool valley, surrounded by steep loess and rocky slopes. Only in its second generation, father and son, Martin Sr. and Martin Jr. are quickly elevating their reputation around the world. A tasting of the wines offers a kaleidoscopic array of flavors across the line up of intense and concentrated wines. The aged bottles are magical. Martin Jr's recent influence has pushed the wines towards more elegance and freshness with their Kremstal Grüner Veltliner, a perennial staff favorite.
