From the producer: After three days’ maceration, I press the must and place it in 500-litre wooden barrels to ferment and mature into a concentrated and juicy textured wine. Aromas continue to develop until you are met with a multifaceted spectrum of nutty, floral and fruity notes.

The warm winds of Lake Neusiedl bring the wine ripeness. Evening coolness from the Leitha Mountains provides fruitiness, freshness and vibrancy.

Georg takes his role as farmer and winemaker of his family domain very seriously, but has an easy laugh and relaxed manner. Blaufränkisch, the Burgenland's terroir-transparent grape, is the crown jewel of the estate and given several single vineyard bottlings. Pinot Blanc and Chardonnay, Burgundian varietals, which have a centuries long history in the region are their main whites. Farming is practicing organic and cellar work is hands off with fermentation and aging in large, neutral, traditional Slovenian oak casks.
