François de Nicolay's tiny domaine tends organic plots straddling the communes of Fleurie and Moulin-à-Vent, coaxing wines of serious backbone and rose-petal complexity. The 2019 shows redcurrant and red cherry with earthy undertones and blueberry aromatics, finished with a dusty, textural grip. Five years of age have softened the edges while preserving inherent power.
