Dunites crafts Ella Pinot Noir from select cool-climate vineyards on the San Luis Obispo Coast. Sandy soils and ocean breezes produce fruit with natural freshness and fine structure.

The 2024 was fermented with native yeasts and partial whole clusters, then aged in neutral oak. A refined, site-driven expression of coastal California Pinot Noir.

The Dunites were a collective of free-thinking artists, poets, nudists and philosophers who settled in the beach dunes of San Luis Obispo county in the 1930s.

Today's featured winery took their name from this counter culture, and the inspiration is telling: this is a California Grenache that's everything new and fresh about modern Central Coast interpretations of this variety.
