The palate is medium-bodied and lightly spiced on the entry, displaying grainy tannins, good depth and an attractive, briny finish with a sprinkling of white pepper. Good potential. "The 2020 Les Tourelles de Longueville is a blend of 64% Merlot, 29% Cabernet Sauvignon and 7% Cabernet Franc. It is being aged for an estimated 12 months in French oak barrels, 30% new. This label represents 27% of the harvest. Deep purple-black in color, it sashays out of the glass with flamboyant notes of Morello cherries, black raspberries and blackcurrant pastilles, plus hints of potpourri, dried Provence herbs and stewed black tea. The medium-bodied palate has vivacious black and red berry layers, framed by soft tannins and seamless freshness, finishing with an herbal lift."
