The 2021 vintage was exceptional for Oakville, and this wine shows why: fruit from the celebrated To Kalon Vineyard's low-fertility benchland, where optimal sun exposure concentrates flavor while well-drained soils preserve elegance. After 23 days on skins and 20 months in 100% new French oak, it balances vivid blackberry and blueberry with spice, chocolate, and fine, well-integrated tannins. Drinking beautifully now but will reward cellaring through the late 2020s.
