The Trinquevedel chateau is run by Guillaume Demoulin who is the fourth generation of his family to do so. Purchased by his great grandfather in 1936, the year the AOC was established, it was a run down property with the Chateau in disrepair. For the next thirty years the family worked to bring the estate back to its former glory, replanting the vineyards and completely refurbishing the big house. By the 1960’s the Demoulin’s were finally satisfied with the quality of their grapes and began to produce Rosé under their own label. Since then they have crafted what many consider the Benchmark for Tavel.
