"The 2023 Nuits Saint-Georges Côteaux des Bois comes from young vines planted in 2017 on the steep part of the incline, in soils that Faure said resembles those in Vosne-Romanée. This offers fragrant red cherry fruit mixed with raspberry and wild hedgerow—fine delineation, though not powerful. The palate is silky-smooth, very cohesive and lightly spiced. This is not a deep NSG and perhaps needs more grip, but that would have upset the balance and poise that Faure has created here. This will be difficult to resist." -Neal Martin
