"An exuberantly classy nose features a plethora of floral elements on the elegant, airy and layered combination of red and dark cherry, exotic tea and a hint of wood. The super-sleek and more refined medium weight flavors possess a lilting, even borderline delicate, mouthfeel yet no lack of punch and minerality on the superbly long finish. This is brilliant and may be the best de Vogüé Amoureuses in some time. Wow."

"The 2022 Chambolle-Musigny Les Amoureuses 1er Cru, which will be bottled in January, has a lovely bouquet: a mélange of red and black fruit, brown spices, crushed violets and iris flower. The medium-bodied palate offers pure black cherries, raspberry fruit, and filigree tannins with a very harmonious, cashmere-textured finish that lingers in the mouth. Bon vin." -Neal Martin

"The 2022 Chambolle-Musigny 1er Cru Les Amoureuses is a tiny cuvée this year, as out of de Vogüé's 0.56 hectares in this climat, almost 0.20 are in the process of replanting. Wafting from the glass with aromas of cherries, raspberries and plums mingled with rose petals and warm spices, it's medium to full-bodied, ample and charming, with a still-primary core of fruit framed by powdery tannins, concluding with a saline, mouthwatering finish." -William Kelley

"Amoureuses as it should be. Previous vintages always struck me as pleasantly soft and rich, but this is more substantial, with dense, dark plum and mulberry fruit, abundant spice notes of ginger and star anise, and aromatic rose petals. The texture is powerful and dense without being astringent or unpleasantly firm. Ideally, wait 5 – 10 years before opening this wine and then enjoy it over the next three to four decades. Production is vastly diminished due to replanting nearly a third of the vineyard, but finding an allocation of this truly top Chambolle is worthwhile." -Charles Curtis
