"There is just enough reduction to blur the nuance of what appears to be ripe dark berry fruit and earth scents. There is excellent size and weight to the more powerful if less refined medium-bodied flavors that possess fine mid-palate density while offering good length on the rustic and mildly austere finale. Some patience will be required but this too is a quality villages."

"Cask sample. Mid crimson. Deliciously fragrant with red fruit and almost a touch floral. Light and juicy on the palate and then with decent persistence. Scented on the palate as much as on the nose. Dry, chalky texture well suited to the fragrance. No need to wait too long to enjoy this."

"An initial, lifted note of kirsch quickly dissipates to leave more subtle red cherry on the nose of this wine. The palate comes in with firmness, its drying tannins framing red cherry and tart berry notes. It is fresh and mouthwatering on the finish."
