Made with the expert guidance of the one and only Jean Baptiste Geoffroy from Champagne Geoffroy (a man who many describe as a true OG of his trade), Duc de Romet is a negociant project with grapes purchased from other small growers such as himself. The vineyards are entirely from the village of Vandières which is along the Marne River, with the perfect soils to grow the red grapes of Champagne.

What importer Skurnik Wines has to say about this wine...
The Duc de Romet is a delightfully balanced Blanc de Noirs. This is a ND (Négociant-Distributeur), which means this is a blend from the different growers in the Vallée de la Marne who do not produce their own Champagne. The grapes are sent to the local co-op where they are fermented and blended. The vineyards are entirely from the village of Vandières which is along the Marne River, a few villages west of Cumières. Vandières has the same rating as Merfy, where Chartogne-Taillet is located, but the parcels here are situated in a south-eastern facing amphitheater around the village, much like Oger, which allows the grapes to become very ripe.Grape varieties : 80% Meunier, 20% Pinot NoirAssemblage: 2015, 2014Vineyard/Village: VandièresLocation : yesElevage: Stainless steelAging Drawdown : 36 months
