The Grosjean family has been farming the Valle d'Aosta since it was French territory, but it was only in the 1960s that Dauphin Grosjean (can you get more French with a name like that?) decided to turn the family's house wine, for family consumption, into a career. He began in earnest in 1969, and since 1975 only sustainable and organic farming practices have been used. Dauphin's sons now run the estate, and are focused on producing gorgeous wines, made with integrity.
What importer Rosenthal Wine Merchant has to say about this wine...
Made from 90% Premetta and 10% Cornalin and sourced from the highest vineyards of the domaine at 800m. The wine is aged in steel tanks and yields a dry wine that is light in color and body but which houses subtle tannins. The Premetta is extremely limited in production!
