Grillo is the star grape of western Sicily and the Marsala zone. As a dry wine it is zesty and full of saline minerals, with key lime and citrus blossoms. The Vignaverde, or "green wine" is fermented and aged entirely in steel tanks and is a great introduction to the di Bartoli mastery of Grillo.

Left Discountable

The di Bartoli estate is actually two wineries, the original family estate that Marco resurrected in Samperi on the western end of Sicily, and a newer one on the smaller island of Pantelleria. Samperi is in the heart of Marsala country while Pantelleria has long been known for passito dessert wines.
