This is a nice step up from the Selection Belles Annees and definitely the next one to try in the Gimonnet collection. Old vines provide even more intensity and minerality in this bottle of bubbles.
Left Discountable

Pierre Gimonnet, a top Grower in the Cotes des Blancs, who helped to found the The Club Trésors, back in the early 1970s. Nearly 50 years later, the Gimonnet family is still one of their benchmark producers. These wines embody everything we love about Champagne from the Côte des Blancs, especially Cramant. The Gimonnet style is luxurious, but still quite nervy and exciting. There is toasty brioche, sure, but also soaring acidity and lovely, yellow fruit. And the wines are long-lived as demonstrated by many 20+ year old wines we've been lucky to taste.

"The NV Brut Blanc de Blancs Cuis 1er Cru is terrific. Bright and sculpted in feel, with terrific energy, the Cuis 1er Cru is a fine introduction to this range. Citrus peel, white flowers, chalk and white pepper lend brilliance throughout. This release is a blend of vintages 2017 back to 2010. Dosage is 6 grams per liter." -Vinous

"Disgorged in May 2018 with six grams per liter dosage, the latest rendition of Gimonnet's NV Brut Premier Cru Cuis is delightful, bursting from the glass with notes of white flowers, green apple, subtle brioche and walnut oil. On the palate, the wine is medium to full-bodied, bright and racy, with a youthfully frothy, pinpoint mousse, ripe acids and a long, nutty finish.
