Not far from the tourist hub of Aix-en-Provence, down a series of idyllic, winding roads is the village of Miramas. Here, you’ll find the outstanding biodynamic farm known as Domaine de Sulauze.
In 2004, Guillaume and Karina Lefèvre took advantage of a French government program encouraging young people to return to traditional agricultural areas and purchased the 29 hectare property. They immediately began converting the farming first to organic and ultimately to biodynamic. Today, they have ancient olive trees, rows and rows of vibrant vegetable gardens, and fields of hops, barley, and wheat for use at their onsite biodynamic brewery, Brasserie Sulauze.
But the real focus of Domaine de Sulauze has always been wine, and they produce some of the region’s very best.
