Domaine Denis Bachelet’s Côte de Nuits-Villages 2022 is sourced from old vines planted in 1952 in the villages of Brochon and Vignois. These east-facing parcels sit on limestone-clay soils at 300 meters elevation, just outside Gevrey-Chambertin.

The wine is 100% destemmed Pinot Noir, fermented with native yeasts and aged 16–18 months in French oak, about 25% new. Bottled unfined and unfiltered, it’s bright, savory, and classically structured.

Modest - even humble - Denis Bachelet has been working at the family domaine all his life - his first vintage was in 1982. The farming is meticulous, the vines are ancient and the yields are very low. Every single grape is scrutinized. They have striking purity regardless of appellation and can age for a decade or more.
