Château de Bonnezeaux is a historic Loire estate revived in 2012 with biodynamic farming and a focus on dry Chenin. “Prieur Inter-Val” is a non-vintage blend of 2020 and 2021, combining fruit from old vines and young parcels in Anjou.

Pressed directly and fermented with native yeasts, it’s aged in neutral oak for added texture and mineral depth. A precise, layered Chenin from a rising benchmark estate.

Guyonne Saclier de la Bâtie took over Château de Bonnezeaux in 2012. It had been over 30 years since the winery had produced a bottle of wine and the vineyards sat abandoned for most of that time. Guyonne saw the grand potential in these 70 year old vines and began the long and arduous work of rehabilitating these semi-feral vineyards. In that short time, he has turned Château de Bonnezeaux into one of the most exciting estates in the Loire Valley.

Guyonne apprenticed under the legendary Mark Angeli at Ferme de Sansonnière. Angeli pioneered the use of biodynamic farming in the region, and was one of the first winemakers to eschew traditional wine laws and produce high quality dry wine where only sweet winemaking was permitted. Following in Angeli’s footsteps, Guyonne implemented biodynamic farming at Château de Bonnezeaux, and began producing dry wines of extraordinary quality.
