What is this wine?
Bruno Giacosa, one of Piedmont’s most legendary names, is celebrated for benchmark Barolo and Barbaresco, but also produces one of the region’s finest examples of Roero Arneis. Arneis is the signature white grape of Roero, thriving on sandy soils across the Tanaro River from Barolo. Fermented in stainless steel, Giacosa’s Arneis highlights purity and freshness without oak influence. The 2023 vintage in Piedmont produced aromatic, balanced whites with excellent fruit expression.
Why get this wine?
This is Arneis at its most refined: made by a master of Nebbiolo, but with the same respect for terroir and precision. For anyone exploring Piedmont beyond reds, Giacosa’s bottling is a benchmark—clean, elegant, and versatile, yet still very affordable compared to his famous Barolo and Barbaresco.
What does this wine taste like?
Crisp pear, white peach, and citrus with delicate floral and herbal notes. Medium-bodied with bright acidity, subtle almond on the finish, and a clean, refreshing profile.
When should you drink this wine?
Best young, now through 2026. Perfect with antipasti, seafood, risotto, or simply as an aperitif. Serve well chilled.
