Jaimee grew up between the four walls of her father's restaurant in Annapolis, Maryland. After moving to SF she couldn't resist the call back to service. She began a stint at Michael Mina's RN74, at the time one of the best boot camps for learning about the world's best wines. With the winemaking bug gnawing at her, she traveled the world working harvest in both hemispheres and spent her last pennies walking the great vineyards of Europe. In 2015, she became assistant winemaker to Pax Mahle at Pax/Wind Gap cellars. Her fellow Asst Winemaker was none other than Scott Schultz of Jolie Laide. By 2016, she partnered with Rajat Parr and began importing barrels from the artisan, Austrian Cooper, Stockinger. With the help and support from this incredible community of passionate winemakers, Jaimee Motley Wines was born.Jaimee sources her grapes from some of California's most exciting vineyards. Whether it’s Chenin from fog shrouded, redwood laden Mendocino County or the Mondeuse from the rocky soils of the Sierra Foothills and the Santa Maria Valley, Jaimee works with farmers who share her passion and commitment. All the vineyards are managed sustainably without the use of synthetic fertilizers or pesticides. Jaimee’s wines have poise and structure, but like her, are imbued with warmth and generosity. they're testaments to the diverse and wild landscapes of California. Her wines are sommelier favorites and are mostly allocated to some of our favorite restaurants. While she is saving some for her folks in the culinary world, she was kind enough to share some with us and we are very appreciative.
