Marisa Cuomo, long with her husband Andrea Ferraioli and oenologist Luigi Moio and a team of family and friends, are capturing the very essence of the unique combination of the sea, the rocks and the sun that makes Amalfi both a global tourist destination and a distinct terroir for wine.
They purchased the estate, known as Gran Furor Divina Costiera, in 1980. The original cantina was established in 1942 as a community co-op and label that was focused on producing and marketing the region's unique wines. Along with the iconic, terraced vineyards of this commune midway between Positano and Amalfi, they also farm similar sites in the commune of Ravello a few miles down the coast.
