What is this wine?
Contratto Alta Langa Metodo Classico Pas Dosé Millesimato 2021 is a traditional-method sparkling wine from Piedmont, Italy, crafted by one of the region’s most historic producers. Founded in 1867 in Canelli, Contratto is among Italy’s oldest sparkling wine houses and now part of the Giorgio Rivetti (La Spinetta) family of estates. Made from Pinot Noir and Chardonnay grown in high-altitude vineyards of the Alta Langa DOCG, this vintage Pas Dosé (“no dosage”) cuvée is fermented in bottle and aged on the lees for about 30 months before disgorgement, highlighting the purity of fruit and terroir.
