Henri Boillot’s 2019 Les Folatières comes from a high-slope Premier Cru vineyard in Puligny-Montrachet, known for its limestone soils and refined expression. The domaine’s precision farming and restrained oak regimen shape a wine of clarity and tension.

Chardonnay is fermented and aged in oak for over a year, yielding floral lift, ripe orchard fruit, and a chalky, vibrant finish. A poised, structured white with Puligny finesse.

Professional Reviews

Burghound

"A whiff of the exotic sits atop the riper aromas of white and yellow peach, dried apricot and passion fruit. There is a lovely texture to the rich and caressing but quite punchy flavors that conclude in a youthfully austere and beautifully persistent finale where a touch of bitter lemon zest slowly emerges. Good stuff and very Folatières in character." -Allen Meadows

"Produced from purchased grapes—as opposed to must—the 2019 Puligny-Montrachet 1er Cru Les Folatières bursts with aromas of pear, peach, white flowers, toast and honeycomb. Medium to full-bodied, satiny and enveloping, it's fleshy and gourmand, with lively acids and a chalky finish." -William Kelley
