"from La Platière, Les Crais, Charreux, Puits de la Barraque and Champerrier du Bas There is a slightly different aromatic character here as there is a distinct wild character to the black raspberry, plum, humus and sauvage-suffused nose. There is excellent intensity to the textured, delicious and muscular larger-scaled flavors that are very firmly structured on the beautifully persistent if slightly warm finale. This is also atypical but quite impressive."

"The 2020 Gevrey-Chambertin Village exhibits aromas of sweet cherries, raspberries, loamy soil and toasty oak. Medium to full-bodied, fleshy and layered, with powdery tannins and succulent acids, it concludes with a penetrating finish. As usual, it's one of the more approachable wines in the range." -Robert Parker
