Left Spirits - San Francisco

NOM (distillery) 1414 is in Arandas, in the highlands of Jalisco at an elevation of 5,400'. This is one of the few areas in Jalisco that mingles plantings of citrus trees in their agave farms, providing a unique terroir. The area is known for its distinctively mineral local water source that they use to bring the distillate to bottling proof. The tequila then ages in third-fill barrels which allow the true agave to shine through the aging process.

I'm not really a tequila drinker. For me most the time it's an occasional scotch. A few months ago I was at a restaurant and a gentleman at the bar suggested I try this tequila and like I said I'm not really a tequila drinker, he said but if you like scotch you'll like this tequila. I thought that was kind of strange but to my surprise he was right! That's what led me to purchasing a case of this wonderful 1146… Complexed smooth and taste not like anything I've ever had and certainly not like a tequila! For me it's the best when my friends down with me at home they want the name of it and they order a bottle and that says a lot.
