Maurice Charleux crafts the 2022 Maranges 1er Cru “Clos des Rois” from a small parcel on limestone-rich slopes in Sampigny-lès-Maranges. The wine is fermented with native yeasts and aged in cask with about 25% new oak.

It shows concentrated dark fruit, violet, and spice with firm tannins and bright acidity. A structured, expressive red Burgundy with depth and aging potential.
