"Spontaneous fermentation in both tronconic oak cask made by Garbellotto and stainless-steel tank. Aged for nine months in 50-hl casks. 13,080 bottles and 250 magnums produced. Just mid ruby. Cool crushed cranberry and sour-cherry nose that is still a little closed. Subtle and deep with hints of oatmeal. Still embryonic. Elegant crushed berries and sour-cherry palate with gripping, long tannins. Minerally cherry finish. Overachieving Rosso di Montalcino that deserves a little more time in bottle."

"Waiting for his first Brunello next year, Giuseppe Gorelli impressed with his second vintage of Rosso di Montalcino. Since 2017, he has managed 6.5 hectares in the northwest part of the Montalcino appellation. This 2019 is full of floral peony intensity with blood orange and smoky woodland notes. Velvety and dense, its savoury orange focus is followed by great refinement on the finish with touches of liquorice. Firm yet integrated acidity gives persistence."
