I got the Old Westminster to have for a Zoom tasting on June 29th...Subject: "North American Wines less than $20." Flat Iron had it for $19.99 - it was from Maryland. Could not resist. Did not even know what a Piquette was. I searched for the varietal. This is a really fun first-time experience. I learned so much. I cannot compare this wine to anything else. It is a brilliant gold and clear. Not cloudy like one review. I did have it standing in fridge for a week. It had strong stone fruit - not quite ripe peach and definitely got apricots on the nose. In my mouth none of the funkiness I find in some natural wines and pet nat. A bit of mineral, but really it is just fun... a friend refers to this type of wine as 'Adult Water'. I am going to try some other piquettes and look for the current vintage of the "Blinded by Light" - I see it has a different blend.
