"Mondavi's 2023 Fume Blanc The Reserve To Kalon Vineyard boasts those lovely barrel notes that virtually defined this wine in Robert Mondavi's mind. Sourced exclusively from the Monastery Block for this vintage, pear, melon and fig notes lead the way, but there's also enough grapefruit to keep this medium- to full-bodied wine focused and long on the finish. All barrel-fermented and then aged in 24% new French oak for 10 months, the wine is plump and expansive at first, then gradually tighter on the finish, with more grapefruit and lime coming through." -Joe Czerwinski
