"Firm reduction renders this tough to assess aromatically. There is excellent mid-palate concentration to the more obviously mineral-driven medium weight flavors that possess a polished and very classy mouth feel before culminating in a reasonably well-balanced, lengthy and compact finale. While there is a hint of warmth it's not sufficient to really detract from the overall sense of harmony. I would further note that this is also quite firmly structured and a wine that is unlikely to make for especially good early drinking."

"Bright, medium-deep ruby. Very dark aromas of blackberry, kirsch, licorice, crushed stone and bitter chocolate, lifted by a violet topnote. Boasts the suavest texture of these Chambolle cuvées, as well as the most obvious inner-mouth mineral energy and lift. Densely packed but with a light touch and excellent cut. A very dark and ripe style of Amoureuses but also silky and showy in the early going. The firm, slowly mounting finish offers excellent grip. This very youthful wine should enjoy a slow and graceful evolution in bottle." -Stephen Tanzer

"The 2015 Chambolle-Musigny 1er Cru Les Amoureuses has a voluminous bouquet with copious black cherry, blueberry, violet and Indian ink aromas that do not hold back. If you want an opulent and ravishing Les Amoureuses, then this is where to come. The palate is medium-bodied with very fine tannin, the terroir really imprinting itself upon this wine and elevating it above the other premier crus from the domaine, the finish pure and sensual. Classy." -Neal Martin
