Claude Riffault is a standout producer in Sancerre, known for precise, terroir-driven Sauvignon Blanc. "Mosaïque Calcaire" blends fruit from multiple organically farmed parcels planted on limestone-rich soils, yielding a wine of notable clarity and mineral expression.

Gentle pressing and aging in stainless steel preserve freshness and purity. Ideal with seafood, goat cheese, or fresh salads.

Taking over from his father Claude, Stéphane now farms 13.5 hectares across four villages near his base in Sury-en-Vaux, in the northern part of Sancerre.The domaine has been certified organic and biodynamic since 2017.

Trained in Burgundy, Stéphane is guided by the principle that individual vineyard sites, or lieux-dits, are inherently unique by virtue of their terroir. Each parcel is vinified separately and tended according to its specific needs. Plowing and plant cover between rows maintains soil balance while rigorous pruning and de-budding promotes air flow and proper maturation of fruit.
