May Wine Seminar Tickets Now on Sale
Dear Friends,
Our spring seminar series continues this month with Lombardy in Italy and the Sierra Foothills in California! We initially planned for the May Italian class to cover Alto Adige, but we are moving that to the summer series.
As a reminder, the format of these seminars is a seated, guided tasting of 5-8 wines along with a presentation of the region-defining characteristics in our downstairs tasting room from 5 - 6:30 PM. All levels are welcome!
LombardyOur journey continues eastward to the heart of northern Italy, Lombardy. This region is renowned for its Franciacorta sparkling wine and Valtellina mountain reds. Nestled amidst picturesque lakes and towering mountains, Lombardy boasts a rich winemaking history dating back to the ancient Greeks who settled along the Po River and traded with the nearby Etruscans in Tuscany. Join us as we explore the three main winemaking regions of Lombardy - Oltrepo-Pavese, Franciacorta, and Valtellina.

Sierra FoothillsWe are excited to take our California series to the foothills of the Sierra Nevada Mountains! Join us as we explore a relatively uncharted territory, where old vines thrive amidst the remnants of former Gold Rush mining towns. During this class we will discuss the unique climate and soil of this region, which makes it an ideal environment for Italian and Rhone varietals, in addition to the classic California grape, Zinfandel.
