"The 1994 Miravalle Alba Chevalier Proprietary Red Wine (for Spring Mountain, a large production of 6,250 cases) is a blend of 93% Cabernet Sauvignon, 3% Merlot, and 4% Cabernet Franc. While it is less tannic than the 1993, more elegant and California-like, it retains a certain austerity, but does unfold nicely on the palate to reveal stylish, rich black currant fruit intermixed with subtle herbaceous notes, minerals, and wood spices. It requires 3-4 more years of cellaring, and should keep for a minimum of 10-15 years." -Robert M. Parker, Jr.
